How to Install Windows 10 on MacBook Pro

Installing Windows 10 on a MacBook Pro can be a bit of a process, but it's definitely doable. If you're not sure which architecture your computer uses, don't worry - we'll go over that in this guide as well.

Step 1: Get the Media Creation Tool

Insert the flash drive into your Windows computer and download Windows 10's media creation tool from Microsoft. This will create an installation media for another PC.

Step 2: Choose Create Installation Media

Open the downloaded media creation tool and choose 'Create installation media for another PC' then click Next. Select the option to create an installation media.

Step 3: Select Language, Edition, and Architecture

Select the language, edition, and 64-bit architecture for Windows 10, then click Next. Make sure you pick the 64-bit architecture.

If yours already has Windows 7 or Windows 8 on your Mac, you can upgrade it to Windows 10 the normal way. This guide is for a Mac that doesn't have Windows installed yet. And if you later on change your mind, the guide also includes information on how to remove Windows afterwards.

Note that you won't need a Windows 10 license for the installation, but you will need to buy one if you want to continue using it on your Mac after the 30-day trial period.

To install Windows 10 on a Mac, you'll need:

* A second computer that already runs Windows

* A thumb drive with at least 5GB of storage space (I named mine 'WININSTALL')

* The Mac you plan to install Windows 10 on

Apple fans won't miss out either, since the new operating system can be installed on your Mac as well. If you haven't already heard, Windows 10 is pretty great and worth installing on your PC.

By following these instructions, you'll be able to install Windows 10 on your MacBook Pro in a dual-boot configuration, meaning you'll have the option to choose which operating system (Windows 10 or Mac OS) to use each time you turn on the computer.
